The alfresco ceremony took place overlooking the hills of Ravello, with a glorious floral arch for the vows and an aisle framed with white balloons and more pink flowers. West End star Daniel Koek serenaded the couple with an intimate performance after they said their vows.
The evening party took place in the hotel’s grounds with the chandeliers suspended between the trees. We couldn’t resist featuring Amalfi’s famous lemons for the table place names, while white pillar candles in brass candelabra provided intimate lighting. A 20-piece big band performed Rat Pack classics, so guests could dance the night away on a checkerboard dancefloor. The celebrations ended with a select group of the guests enjoying a classic tour around Italy.
CONCEPT
With such a stunning setting overlooking the Amalfi Coast, it’s no surprise that our design was inspired by the destination for this three-day wedding. The couple were keen for as many of the festivities to be outside, so we designed the decor and tabelscapes to complement the alfresco setting of the ceremony, main dinner and the welcome dinner – including repurposing stunning chandeliers from a Dolce and Gabbana fashion show. Amalfi is renowned for its delicious cuisine, so that was also an important part of our inspiration. As guests were travelling a long way, the couple wanted them to be able to explore the area and learn more about its history.
