The Temperate House was transformed with a clever use of light and reflections. A 30-foot long table took centre stage in the greenhouse amongst the lush foliage, with the natural backdrop inspiring the sustainable table settings of bamboo silk bows and mother-of-pearl cutlery. We also used the organic setting as the starting point for the cake.

CONCEPT
Designed to celebrate bridal designer Christie Nicole’s capsule collection coming to the UK, we created a striking contrast between traditional structure and this very modern bridal label in the historic Temperate House of Kew Gardens.
Christie Nicole gives life to designs that represent femininity, remaining powerful, intricate and integral to the modern woman. The starting point for the editorial was the contrast of the modern with the oldest Victorian glasshouse in Europe; a sense of connection to a forest of generational stories, of lessons and growth of those who have gone before. Christie’s work showcases intricate details, bold fabric pairings, renaissance style embroidery and hand-sewn ornamental needlework. Challenging traditional wedding standards, her designs epitomise contemporary femininity.
